Poem: The Acropolis, July 2012

The Acropolis, July 2012

Dear Diary,

My body is my prison.
Nothing can be done
till its mood is met.

Too hot,
too cold,
too hungry,
too old.

Need the toilet,
need to eat,
need a drink,
need to sleep.

My body is my prison.

The Parthenon will wait.
