Poem: Realisation

This poem is about a moment of realisation, when an inner voice resonates with the outside world and we know in that instant; Truth. But we cannot hold it so it slips away, leaving only its aftertaste, like a stolen sip of déjà vu.

Realisation

I sleep,
I dream,
I mediate
on the edge of a distant Great:

Inner thought passing outer thought.

A starling spirit tries to teach,
but night is weight upon my feet,
drags
me
far
beyond
His
reach.
